omni is *kinda* slow too. I wonder why that is. I have a quite fast PC with 32gb of RAM... Nexus is fast as hell. LUV IT LIKE HELL

arturia stuff loads slow, GUI's are SUPER HUGE (too big), clunky, etc. same with most ROLAND vsts

yes the wavs are freely stored on the HDD along with the instrument, so that's another plus

and the instruments you make do NOT have to be copy-protected or whatever... just a kontakt file and the wavs

yes it is the most popular and easiest to use anf full of libraries

and many use it so it's widely used format

kontakt is fast to load and clean/tidy etc

zoner, well i had halion and kontakt both for a while. and found that halion was too slow and clunky and overfraught with too many options
