so. i guess a lot of my faves are AY stuff made post-tracker period, just "because we can still use the old tech" mid-90s or so. i don't really count by year though. i do love much later stuff too though. depends what it is

most of my favs are mid-late 90s, but I enjoy a lot of more recent stuff too

later someone made a tracker. but it was an idea copied back from later machines like Amiga

Kup: i like a lot of really ancient 8-bit sounds that even pre-date the idea of a "tracker". i like the AY or YM sound chip (you can find it in the old british ZX Spectrum, or some Atari machines)

not sure who defined eras of tracker? i love ancient amiga stuff, LizardKing, but the "ST-01" type sounds get a bit boring. beyond that i don't know how to categorise
